AMPS is widely used in many fields as a homopolymer and copolymer monomer:
* Used to prepare oilfield chemicals, such as drilling fluid, completion fluid and fracturing fluid.
* As a modified monomer, it improves the salt resistance, high temperature resistance and shear resistance of oil production polymers.
* Its homopolymer or copolymer with monomers such as acrylamide and acrylic acid can be used as a sludge dehydrating agent in the sewage purification process.
* Used as a preservative for iron, zinc, aluminum, copper and alloys in a closed water circulation system.
