Properties
Phosphorous Acid is colorless crystal. Soluble in water and alcohol. It is the raw material for the manufacture of phosphite, and is also the raw material for the manufacture of plastic stabilizers and organophosphorus pesticides.
Application
1. Used as reducing agent, nylon whitening agent, also used as phosphite raw material, pesticide intermediate
2. Used for water treatment
3. Used for determination of mercury, gold, silver and lead, reducing agent, iodate, copper and cadmium. In industry, phosphite is the raw material for the manufacture of plastic stabilizer. Also used in synthetic fibers and phosphite manufacturing
