It functions as a disinfectant for eliminating pathogenic microorganisms, a fungicide for inhibiting fungal growth on surfaces or materials, a corrosion inhibitor for protecting metal substrates from oxidative damage, and an anti-static agent for reducing static electricity accumulation in plastics, textiles, or electronic components. Beyond these, it also acts as an emulsifier to stabilize oil-water mixtures, a dispersant to prevent particle agglomeration in suspensions, a flocculant for clarifying wastewater by aggregating impurities, a deodorizer to neutralize unpleasant odors in environments or products, and a fabric softener to enhance the smoothness and flexibility of textiles. In specialized industrial fields, DDAC is utilized as an asphalt emulsifier to facilitate the mixing of asphalt with water for road construction, an organic bentonite coating agent to modify the surface properties of bentonite for better compatibility in paints or adhesives, and an auxiliary agent in tertiary oil recovery to improve oil displacement efficiency and increase crude oil production.


In terms of solubility, DDAC exhibits high solubility in polar organic solvents (such as alcohols, ketones, and glycol ethers), while it shows only slight solubility in room-temperature water. Didecyldimethylammonium Chloride Application:


1. Fabric Softener:

* A fabric softener widely used internationally, it imparts softness and antistatic properties to fabrics.

2. Hair Conditioner:

3. Emulsifier and Dispersant:
