4-Chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol is white or cream crystalline powder with a characteristic odour. White or cream-colored crystals or crystalline powder with a characteristic phenolic odor. Volatile in steam.

PCMX (Chloroxylenol) powder, also known as p-chloro-m-xylenol, is a broad-spectrum mould and mildew antimicrobial agent that is effective against most Gram-positive and negative bacteria, fungi, and moulds.

PCMX can be used as preservative and mould inhibitor in many industrial fields, such as glue, coating, paint, textile, leather, paper making, etc.. It is also widely used in disinfection or personal care products such as antimicrobial detergents for anti-dandruff shampoos, hand soaps, soaps and other hygiene products. In addition, PCMX can also be used in hospitals and general medicinal areas, such as skin disinfection before patient surgery, sterilisation of medical equipment, and daily cleaning of equipment and hard surfaces to avoid cross infection.

Application

1. PCMX (4-Chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol) is used as antibacterial, topical and urinary antiseptic.

2. PCMX (4-Chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol) is an antiseptic and germicide. Chloroxylenol is used for mildew prevention. Chloroxylenol is also an antibacterial; antiseptic (topical and urinary).
