Cationic surface active agent BKC (Benzalkonium Chloride) is used in textile dyeing, softeners, antistatic agents, emulsifiers and conditioner. It acts as a cationic detergent. It is also used as a preservative in pharmaceutical products like eye, ear and nasal drops and sprays. Further, it is an active ingredient in personal care products such as hand sanitizers, shampoos, deodorants and wet wipes. In addition to this, it is used in a study to assess its action on epithelia conjunctival cells in vitro.

BENZALKONIUM CHLORIDE BKC as a fungicide and disinfectant for medical and surgical instruments.In aqueous solution, cationic active groups are dissociated into hacks, which have clean scaling, emulsification and solutionization.It can be used as levelling agent for cationic dyes, sterilization and algae removal agent for industrial water, disinfection and mildew prevention agent for animal husbandry pens, grain warehouses, silkworm chambers and cash crops such as mushrooms and white fungus.
