3-Methoxypropylamine, short for MOPA, also called γ-Methoxypropylamine / 1-Amino-3-methoxypropane, CAS 5332-73-0, is a typical aliphatic primary amine containing methoxy and amino bifunctional groups. Sinobio adopts catalytic hydrogenation rectification process to produce high-purity MOPA, strictly controlling moisture, chroma and light-component impurities.


It has strong water solubility, moderate alkalinity and excellent film-forming property on metal surface, the most classic volatile neutralizing amine for power plant boiler condensate anti-corrosion. Meanwhile, the amino group is easy to undergo alkylation, acylation and salt-forming reactions, widely used for disperse dye synthesis, daily chemical emulsifier, wetting agent, epoxy curing agent and fine chemical intermediates. Hygroscopic, easy to absorb carbon dioxide and water in air, sealed storage is required for long-term use.

*Stability: MOPA is stable at room temperature and pressure and does not readily decompose, ensuring its safety during storage and use.

Volatile neutralizing amine corrosion inhibitor for power station, chemical plant steam boiler & condensate recovery pipeline. Neutralize carbonic acid produced by CO₂ dissolved in condensed water, prevent pipeline thinning and perforation, extend boiler pipeline service life.


2. Dye & Pigment Industry

Key intermediate for Disperse Blue 60 and other high fastness disperse dyes, improve dye solubility and color fastness on polyester fiber.


3. Daily Chemical Industry

Raw material for nonionic emulsifier, wetting agent, detergent additive; used in industrial cleaning agent, textile auxiliary formulation to enhance infiltration and dispersion performance.


4. Fine Chemical & Pharmaceutical Synthesis

Pharmaceutical intermediate, epoxy resin curing accelerator, polyurethane foam catalyst, metal surface cleaning additive.

1. What is the difference between MOPA and morpholine for boiler corrosion inhibition?

MOPA has stronger volatility and better low-temperature pipeline film-forming ability, lower effective dosage, suitable for long-distance condensate pipeline anti-corrosion; morpholine is more suitable for high-temperature boiler main body conditioning.


2. Is MOPA a dangerous product for export?
