Relying on amino acid technology, cell culture medium raw materials are mainly divided into two categories: cell culture media for biopharmaceuticals and stem cell/pluripotent stem cell culture media. 1. CELLiST Series (Specialized for Biopharmaceuticals/CHO Cells)


Targeting cell lines such as CHO-K1/CHO-S/CHO-DG44/CHO-GS, it is used for the production of antibodies, recombinant proteins and other biopharmaceuticals, meeting the standards of cGMP grade, animal-free and chemically defined.


*Basal Medium (Basal)


BASAL 3: A universal CHO basal medium, suitable for most CHO cells and supporting high-density growth.


BASAL 10: A high-nutrient density formula, suitable for cell lines with high expression/high metabolism requirements.


BASAL CHO MX: Thymidine/hypoxanthine-free, suitable for GS selection system; does not contain L-glutamine and sodium bicarbonate, which need to be added separately; contains 6.2 g/L glucose and poloxamer, suitable for suspension culture.


*Feed Medium (Feed)


FEED 2: A universal feed, which is matched with BASAL 3 to improve viable cell density and protein yield.


F7: A highly concentrated feed, suitable for long-term culture and high-expression processes.


*Special Supplements


Cys1/Cys2: Cysteine supplements, solving the problem of cysteine oxidation/insufficiency in suspension culture.


Gly-Tyr: Glycyl-L-tyrosine dipeptide, improving the stability and utilization rate of tyrosine.


2. StemFi  Series (Stem Cells/Regenerative Medicine)


Targeting iPS/ES/MSC, it is clinical grade (PMDA certified), animal-free and chemically defined, supporting single-cell passage and karyotype stability.


StemFit Basic03/04: iPS/ES basal medium, optimized formula by Shinya Yamanaka's team, suitable for the maintenance and expansion of pluripotent stem cells.


StemFit MSC: Specialized for mesenchymal stem cells, supporting clinical-grade MSC expansion.


Supporting Matrix: Laminin-511, an animal-free adherent matrix, suitable for serum-free adherent culture of stem cells.

1. Composition of Core Raw Materials (Taking CELLiST as an Example)


Amino Acids: High-purity L-amino acids (including essential and non-essential), animal-free, optimized ratio, supporting efficient protein synthesis.


Carbohydrates: Glucose (4.5–6.2 g/L) as the main energy source; some contain galactose/fructose, suitable for metabolic regulation.


Vitamins: B vitamins and fat-soluble vitamins, chemically defined, without serum batch differences.


Inorganic Salts: NaCl, KCl, CaCl₂, MgSO₄, etc., maintaining osmotic pressure and ion balance.


Buffering System: HEPES/sodium bicarbonate, stable pH (7.2–7.4); some do not contain sodium bicarbonate, suitable for different culture environments.


Protective Agent: Poloxamer (Pluronic F-68), reducing shear force damage and suitable for suspension culture.


No Additives: No animal-derived components, no hydrolysates, no unknown components, complying with pharmacopoeia and application requirements.

Precise Amino Acid Ratio: Based on AminoScience, optimizing the ratio of amino acids to improve cell viability and expression level.


Chemically Defined (CD): All components are traceable, reducing batch differences and facilitating process verification and application.


Animal-Free (AOF): Avoiding the risk of viruses/mycoplasma, suitable for clinical applications of biopharmaceuticals and cell therapy.


High Density/High Expression: CELLiST can support CHO cell density > 10⁷ cells/mL and antibody expression > 5 g/L.

Conventional Process: BASAL 3 + FEED 2, cost-effective, suitable for most CHO cells and antibody projects.


GS Selection/High Expression: BASAL CHO MX + F7, suitable for GS system and supporting high-expression processes.


Suspension/Serum-Free: The entire series is suitable, no additional serum/adherent factors are needed.


2. Stem Cells/Regenerative Medicine


iPS/ES Maintenance: StemFit Basic04 + Laminin-511, clinical grade, supporting single-cell passage and karyotype stability.
